Wheel

« Back to Glossary Index

A wheel is a circular object used to carry or move an object from point A to B. It has been used for thousands of years. It has helped our ancestors to travel and create some of the most historical monuments we see today. In modern times, wheels are usually padded with a rubber substance creating a tire which we see on cars, planes, and wheelchairs. Wheels have also helped bring certain sports to life like skateboarding and rollerblading. Due to wheels not being able to go upstairs things like elevators, ramps and slopes are relied on by wheels to get up and down a certain obstacle.

There will be a ramp present which will be situated at the Awake store. The ramp is a nod to skate culture which was one of the driving forces in Hong Kong’s introduction to street fashion.
